Soldier’s Hollow

It’s that time of year… the time where we need something to break up a dreary February… and every year Grandma and Grandpa come to the rescue and whisk us all away to Soldier’s Hollow! The snow is fresh! You get all of the joy of sledding down a huge snowy hill but without any of the hassle of dragging yourself back to the top! It is definitely a highlight!

I think this is the one time I saw Dylan- right at the beginning. That kid was off and sledding again and again- not to be slowed down by his mom and her 4 year old buddy!

And personally, I don’t think a 4 year old buddy could get any cuter! Alison remembered sledding last year and could hardly wait until it was time to GO!

Alison, Grandma, Dylan, Cayden, Jackson and Grandpa. Grandma and Grandpa are cool that way – sledding right alongside the grandkids, pulling tubes together to make trains. It’s a party!

Jackson always holds his own! He buddied up with Cayden for the evening!

I sure love this guy!

Ashlyn and Isabelle were sledding buddies for the evening and kept it up for the hot chocolate, cookies and donuts afterwards in the lodge! I think they had the best seat in the house- right by the fire!

Ellie, Jackson and Ethan, crazy cousin style!

Megan and Matt stayed in the lodge. Matt said that every time he turned around, Megan was eating another donut. Megan was in treat heaven! The rule with sledding is that you have to be able to go in your own sled.  Maybe next year?

We always have such a great time! Sledding like crazy and then racing over to the tow rope. Listening to music while drifting up the mountain/hill on your tube and looking at the stars. It doesn’t get better than this!
