I love Easter and every year I am determined that we (as a family) will make it more special. This year was no exception. I like the way that we spend a Family Home Evening lesson teaching about Easter. We even watched some of the new church videos, which were fun for the kids. Our Easter bunny doesn’t bring toys, clothes, swimming gear, flip flops, etc- he brings candy (of course!) and church items, most often church books.
Still, I know that we’re not there yet. The gifts we celebrate during Easter are the ones that give our life meaning and hope. I love it! I love the renewal that comes through nature to remind us of the joy and optimism of life despite the cynicism, ‘sarcasm’ and self-centeredness that is found just about everywhere else.
